Rainbow’s End Featured On CNN
(KOROR, Palau) – For the whole month
of August and September 2005 CNN International will feature
Palau in two 30-second segments showcasing Palau as an exotic
travel destination. The first segment, called “Tourism”,
documents a visiting couple’s adventurous getaway,
is now playing for this month of August. The second segment
spot is called “Culture” showcasing Palau’s
unique traditions and culture will be shown for the month
of September.
After a great deal of exposure as the eye-catching
tropical backdrop for CBS’s top reality television
series, Survivor, Palau is now enticing viewers of another
big TV network, CNN. A Guam-based production company called
Shooting Star Productions-the largest and oldest independent
production company in Micronesia- working closely with Palau
Visitors Authority produced, shot, edited and mastered two
30-second destination commercial used for CNN International.
“We’re excited about the creative
way Shooting Star is helping us keep our islands on the
minds of discreet world travelers,” said Maryann Delemel,
Palau Visitors Authority managing director.
“This is a milestone for us”
says Carlos Barretto, Shooting Star Production’s President
and Production Director. Mr. Barretto expressed his gratitude
to PVA board for their confidence and the opportunity to
carry out “culturally sensitive project!”
Palau Visitors Authority Chairman, Mr.
Jackson Henry commends Shooting Star Productions for their
meticulous preparation and commitment to completing the
project in accordance with PVA’s objectives. Mr. Henry
invites the public saying, “Watch our commercials
on CNN- another big step in Palau’s endeavor to distinguish
itself as a world class destination”. The public is

of our beautiful island nation airing five times a day
