PVA Attend KOTFA SHOW 2007-Seoul, Korea
On June 7 - 10, 2007, Yumie Morishita, PVA Marketing & Research Manager and Kadoi Ruluked, PVA Marketing Rep. II, along with 2 Hoteliers attended the 20th annual Korea world Travel Fair that was held in Seoul, South Korea at the COEX Center. The show was visited by close to 85,966 trade professionals and consumers.

The purpose of the show was to give different tourist destinations a chance to meet with Korean travel agents and to introduce a unique opportunity to market each destination to the Korean Consumers. Palau Visitors Authority took the opportunity to participate in the show to promote and increase awareness of Palau's natural beauty, rich culture and pristine waters to develop a strong market share for the Korean Region.

In 2006, the total visitor arrival to Palau was over 82,000 visitors, and from that Korea alone were 11,700 visitors which was a 500% increase compared to the previous years. This was due to the continuation of the Asiana Airlines charter flights twice a week every month as well as Koreans visitors coming to Palau via Guam. This positioned the Korean Market on the top 3-destinations with the highest numbers of visitors.

Palau Visitors Authority was presented with an Appreciateion Plaque from Joong-Mok Shin, Chairman of the Korea Tourism Association, and Jong-Soo Kim, President of the KOTFA Co., Ltd. for show of support and cooperation by attending the 20th Korea World Travel Fair.
